On the Road Again

September 16, 2008

The new Atomic Drawers Tour Bus is outfitted and ready to blast its way through the 2008 Fall Tour.

Well, after a month-long hiatus, Atomic Drawers opens up the 2008 Fall Tour tomorrow night in lovely Denver, Colorado at Lincoln’s Roadhouse

As you may remember, we also opened the 2008 Spring Tour in Denver, as well as the 2008 Summer Tour.  I guess we have a soft spot for the blue skies and fine people of the Mile High City and want to give our tens of fans there as much love as possible.

During the time off, Billy and I have been mighty busy with just about everything except learning new songs, hoaning our craft, and improving our sound.  We have played a few spontaneous sets for a few new fans, but otherwise, we’ve been lazier than shit.

With that in mind, our set tomorrow night should be sloppy, boring, predictable, uninspired, and, in general, a total letdown to anyone who is unlucky enough to find themselves viewing such a weak and flacid performance.

(That there was reverse psychology.  Talking ourselves up doesn’t make anybody come to see us, nor does generally mild self-deprecation, so I figured I’d go for the jugular this time.)

We do have a surprise or two in store, so come out and see us.

In other news, you may recall my rather negative review of the Last Show of the Summer Tour in the post before this one.  After hearing the recording, I’ve changed my mind.  Billy and I sounded good.  I hope to have the audio streaming on the main website by the end of the week, so check it out.

Also, we’ve decided on a logo and Billy is hard at work with his airbrush gun creating unique and stylish T-shirts for You, The Fans.  He should have seven or eight cranked out by the middle of next month.  Show your support for this noble musical cause by wearing one.  Everywhere.  All the time.  He might even airbrush a Unicorn on one, especially for you.

See y’all tomorrow night.
