Chestnuts Roasting in Atomic Drawers, Jack Daniels Dripping from Your Clothes….

December 16, 2008

Atomic Drawers hopes that you and yours are having a magical holiday season.  We certainly are.

Atomic Drawers has been off the beaten path lately; fall tour was much shorter than we originally planned.   After that one show, we figured we’d be like Zeppelin in 2007 London and leave the masses wanting more after one single performance; however, we’re not quite as good, nor as popular, as those guys.  Yet.

I remember that conversation between Billy and I very well:

JT: “Let’s take the autumn off, regroup, work on new material, and take that trip we’ve been discussing .”

BV: “Sounds like a plan.  It’s not like anything weird is going to happen between August and December, right?”

JT: “Exactly.  The National Champ LSU Football Team will remain dominant, credit markets will continue their wild profitability, and those scrappy Republicans will remain in office, continuing their popular humanitarianistic policies for the ongoing good of mankind.  We’ll just jump back in right where we were, and everything will be hunky-dory.”

So, with things exactly as we left them, here we are at the end of 2008 and we’re ready to get things going again.  We’ve written piles of deep, topical, important new material and can’t wait to get it out there for your listening pleasure.

With that said, Atomic Drawers is planning on making their triumphant return to the stage tomorrow evening at Lincoln’s Roadhouse, just in time for Christmas.  Please take a break from your busy holiday schedule to come out and hear some new music, all of which has not been rehearsed nearly enough.
